Wednesday 15 January, 2025 PANBOOLA SURVEY
Meet at 7:00 am at the Panboola Centre, Watsons Waterhole, next to the Idlewilde Motel, Bullara St, Pambula for the summer survey. Early start to avoid possible heat. Sturdy shoes, hat, snack and insect repellent advised. Usually takes 3 hours.

Meet at 9:15 for 9:30 start in the Panboola Office, Watsons Waterhole, Bullara St, Pambula, next to the Idlewilde Motel.
Sunday 26 January, 2025 START UP GET TOGETHER
A late afternoon start to 2025. Come to the Panboola Centre area, beside the Waterhole, under the trees, between 4:00pm – 6:00 pm with your picnic tea and a chair (although there are tables and seats there). A walk is optional; however, this is a good chance to meet and chat with fellow members.

Saturday 8 February, 2025 GOODENIA RAINFOREST
Meet at 8:45 am in the parking area behind the Tea Tree Roadhouse, Mt Darragh Rd, Sth Pambula so we can car pool OR proceed independently to Goodenia Rainforest car park to meet by 9:30 am. Goodenia is on Chalkhills Rd, Lochiel. Take Mt Darragh Rd and drive 10 km from Sth Pambula/Princes Hwy corner. Turn right here and travel carefully, can be rough, for about 8 km. Take time to look for Spotted Quail-thrush along the roadside. There are two options for the walk, staying high and dry on the top road or walking a steep and often slippery track through the rainforest, but worth it. Bring a snack and lunch.

Thursday 13 February, 2025 EVENING MEETING
Meet in the Uniting Church Hall, Henwood St, Merimbula for a 7:30 pm start. Bring your friends and new members. Our Guest Speaker will be Michelle Richmond, Panboola Co-ordinator, who will give us a look at ‘Panboola Past, Present and Future’. Her passion for the work she does there will show as she brings behind the scenes planning, changes over the years, results and future plans to life. Plenty of photos too. Alan Scrymgeour will also give a mini-presentation with the topic of Pelican Palace.
Sunday 23 February, 2025 BITHRY INLET AND MYER BLOCK, MIMOSA ROCKS NP
Meet at 9:00 am outside Navigate Arts, Three Ways Tanja on the Tathra-Bermagui Rd. A brief look around this junction then we’ll proceed to Bithry Inlet for seabirds and bush birds. Lunch in the forest beside cars. Our walk there at the same time last year was voted the top venue.
Saturday 8 March, 2025 WOLUMLA, OLD MILL RD
Meet at 9:00 am on the corner of Princes Hwy and Old Mill Rd, Wolumla. Once assembled we will drive to the end of Old Mill Rd to the property of Wendy Noble. Have you ever seen a Muttonwood forest? FSCB visited this block about 27 years ago so there should be some changes! Bring snack, lunch and a chair.

Meet at 9:00 am on the corner of Princes Highway and Edrom Rd (Chipmill Rd), 15 minutes south of Eden. We’ll take in Bull Creek, Pulpit Rock and highlights around Green Cape. Bring chair, lunch etc, no shops anywhere!

Thursday 10 April, 2025 EVENING MEETING
Meet in the Uniting Church Hall, Henwood St, Merimbula for a 7:30 pm start. Guest speaker will be Darren Quin who is an ecologist and project officer with Birdlife Australia. Darren will talk about the responses of waterbirds to environmental water flows at Lake Cullen in Northern Victoria.
Saturday 12 April, 2025 ‘WATERY FOWLS’ WALLAGOOT
Meet at 8:45 am inside the gate of ‘Watery Fowls’. Turn off Sapphire Coast Drive onto Bournda Road on the south side of Wallagoot Lake. Drive about 500m to just before Tickalara Close and turn left into the driveway. BYO snack and lunch and chair as usual, plus insect repellent. Always a good species count here and easy walking.
Wednesday 23 April, 2025 BERRAMBOOL OVAL
Meet at 9:00 am in the car park within Berrambool Oval, accessed off Berrambool Drive, Merimbula. A surprisingly productive bird habitat including creek, open grassland and forest on level ground.
An optional Rainforest Walk too. Will the Ospreys be adding on to last year’s nest? Bring lunch for a stop on the lakeside.
